Hibernation mode: activated
If you’re anything like me, when the clocks went back , you probably dove headfirst into hibernation mode. After all, autumn and winter marks nesting season, and staying in is the new going out when it’s dark, cold and Netflix have added a trillion and one good true crime series to sink your teeth into. So, with us spending more time indoors, it makes sense to make it feel the most cosy, inviting and plush space ever, right? It’s officially the season of long nights on the sofa, evenings in front of the fire, and binge-watching TV under a big throw, and my home could use a few new additions to make this a tad more tempting, so I’m sure yours could too.
Changing aspects of our homes to be in keeping with the seasons is a great way to feel more connected to the world that’s all around us. Personally, I’m a big fan of updating my home to reflect the seasons change to boost my mood and bring a sense of calm. In between Halloween and Christmas can seem a bit strange in terms of home decor, which is why adding a few timeless seasonal pieces can really work wonders for your abode. Think warming earthy colours like burnt oranges, forest greens and cream; plush textures like boucle, velvet and wool; an opulent smelling candle; a new rug to keep in the heat. Pieces that crank that cosy factor up to 11.
Below we've curated an edit of the autumn homeware on our wishlist, all intended to bring that warm and fuzzy feeling into your home.
